About Rechargeable Battery Materials

We are all on the move. Umicore’s rechargeable battery materials give people autonomy and connectivity. We are a pioneer in battery materials that give added range and performance to electric vehicles. Our materials also ensure longer battery life for portable electronics. To enable our customers to produce even better performing batteries we cannot stand still. We need to find new ways to do things, discover new solutions and develop new ideas. Which is where you come in.

What you will be doing
  1. Preparing and issuing final schedules for the manufacturing centres taking into consideration several key parameters like: working capital optimization, sales forecast, raw material availability and production capacity maximization.
  2. Determining raw materials requirements in terms of mix, volume and delivery times to meet production planning, in accordance with global procedures and best practices.
  3. Interfacing with relevant departments, mainly Production, Commercial and Supply teams, in order to have good alignment and execution of the planning processes.
  4. Setting up regular meetings with AM and Production in order to balance maintenance and production needs.
  5. Setting up regular meeting with PTE in order to balance their needs and production planning.
  6. Aligning and communicating the production planning with Production team.
  7. Monitoring production orders realization and controlling finish goods availability versus customer demands.
  8. Monitoring and adjusting critical stocks parameters as raw material levels, safety stocks, MOQs, productions batches etc..
  9. Acting as an interface between Production, W&IL, Sales and Customers to define best shipment schedules.
  10. Providing necessary reporting such as inventory levels (FG, IP, RM), plan vs. realization and so on.
  11. Developing existing systems and procedures to meet current requirements.
Who we are looking for

Functional Requirements

  • Bachelor in Engineering or Supply Chain management
  • 3 years of experiences on relevant position (Master planning experience desirable)
  • Experiences in ERP system (SAP is preferred) and high level of MS office skills
  • Very good English skills - written and verbal
  • Capable to work with several priorities under time pressure
  • Interpersonal skills in order to promote cross-department cooperation and get things done
  • Good understanding and experience of product and manufacturing processes
