About New Business Incubator
In NBI we develop long-term business opportunities for the business units, as well as business opportunities with a different business model that may develop into a stand-alone business, called incubators.
What you will be doing
As Head of Incubator, you are accountable for business execution of the Solid State Battery incubator. Your focus will be on building the business strategy and associated business plan, building and leading the Solid State Incubator team, defining and supervising R&D, IP and commercialisation strategies and leading the P&L (including production, initial sales & R&D costs).
Detailed Responsibilities :
You define and communicate to relevant stakeholders (internal and external) the overall solid state Incubator business strategy (in collaboration with N+1), build and ensure proper execution of the associated business plan (with help of solid state Incubator management team)
You manage (recruit, train, lead) the solid state Incubator team, interact with relevant other departments (Business Units, Corporate R&D and other Corporate units) to ensure proper allocation of internal resources, lead the solid state Incubator management team.
You define the high-level technology development and commercialization strategies and ensure proper execution of R&D, IP, Marketing & Sales, Applied Technology and Industrialization related actions together with appropriate stakeholders.
-You lead the solid state Incubator P&L and provide adequate reporting to management and stakeholders in close collaboration with PMO.
The geographical area of these activities is worldwide. The position will be located in Brussels, Belgium.
Who we are looking for
You have a technical degree (engineering, chemistry, physics, applied maths/economics …) with healthy and strong 10 years min. business experience (MBA is a plus). 5 years experience in the Li-ion battery domain at least.
Confirmed ability to translate technology trends into business opportunities and experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision
An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills .
Demonstrated ability to inspire effective teamwork and motivate staff (including in a matrix structure)
Ability to utilize resources effectively on a global scale
You are an excellent communicator, with good oral and written presentation skills.
You can work on your own under general direction, have a good sense of prioritization of assigned goals and run time accordingly in collaboration within your network and with your team(s).
Fluency in both oral and written English is a must. Chinese/Korean/Japanese/German/French are a plus.
You are willing to travel frequently.
